Last Sunday as we celebrated Easter , and the resurrection on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it should have given us the feeling of how much the Lord cares for us. There is a word in the Bible called “HOPE!”What does it mean to you and how do you describe this word as you talk to others about Jesus. The only Hope for us and the world we live in is through the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of a Loving Savior who gave His all for us, and to share the Hope of a better future to come with others.Pastor, Neale
I want to welcome everybody today to our special service to remember the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we started our day at 6:15 a.m. it was such a blessing to see the Sun coming up above the horizon and to capture what it must have been like on the day that our Savior stepped out of that tomb. We are so blessed to have a Savior who was willing to give His life so all of us could have eternal life. Without Christ there would be no eternity in heaven, and our lives would have no meaning. It is with a heart of gratitude that we celebrate this resurrection morning and to continue to give all the honor, praise, and glory to our Loving Savior, Jesus Christ.
Next Sunday we will be observing the day that Jesus enteredJerusalem on a small colt. It was a time of great celebration as the people laid palms before him and praised Him saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh inthe name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”
Easter is just around the corner, and we will soon be celebrating the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We need to always remember how this event in history changed man’s destination for all eternity. Without believing that Christ died for our sins and asking forgiveness of our sins you will not inherit the kingdom of God. Let people know what this special day is all about. And pray for more souls to be saved. This is why Jesus came into the world.
We sing a song that has the words in it; Stand Up! Stand Up! For Jesus! As Christians we have an obligation to stand up for our beliefs. We are not to waver in our talk and walk with Him. Society has become a corrupt place to live, but as long as we live, we have the responsibility to speak up against the evils of this sin-sick world. Take time to pray for our Nation, Churches, and those who proclaim the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Chris
The Bible teaches us that love is essential in the relationship with Christ and others. Our nation has lost the concept of this very important biblical teaching. When was the last time you expressed your love to someone and what was the response in return? (Deut. 6:4-5) “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” (Matt. 2:39) “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK: as we celebrate Presidents Day, please remember our Forefathers and the great men and women who have served this country to make it what it is today. Our nation needs to be recognized as a God-fearing country and to put God first in our daily lives.
A New Year, a new precept upon precept study. On Sunday, January 20th , we will begin a new study on the book of Daniel. We are so excited to explore the life of Daniel and how he purposed in his heart to love God and no other. A lesson for us as we begin a new year. We will learn how Daniel was taken captivate and how God spoken to Daniel in dreams and visions. Please sign up in the fellowship hall for your book.
